COACHING DEVELOPMENT

From great athletes and students, great coaches can emerge.

At Waite Endurance, we’ve had the privilege of working with dozens of junior riders over the years—many of whom have now risen to elite levels of the sport. Among them, those who have absorbed our training methods over multiple seasons and combined that foundation with their own racing experiences are now stepping into coaching roles themselves. We’re proud to be fostering the next generation of endurance cycling coaches.

DEVELOPING RIDERS INTO COACHES

Under the expert guidance of Cody and Kathy Waite, head coaches at Waite Endurance, a select group of riders graduating from the WE Development program will transition into coaching apprenticeships.

These emerging coaches will learn the intricacies of endurance coaching—from building Annual Training Plans and determining appropriate training loads, to designing individualized programs and mastering athlete communication to optimize performance. They’ll gain hands-on experience working with a range of athletes, from junior XCO racers to adult gravel and endurance cyclists—all while being mentored by Team Waite.
