It’s mid-season already for us and the WE Development MTB Team! As we dig into our second Race Prep training block for the year, we’re splitting into two different directions, requiring two different training build variations:
- short-course XCO National Championships
- long-course Leadville Trail 100 MTB
Two different target events, one around 90 minutes and the other around 7 hours, requires a different training approach and we share those customized builds with you in this episode.
Before we get to the training variation talk, we first offer up our in-depth review on the WHOOP fitness wearable we’ve been testing for the last 5+ months. We share our experience with the WHOOP device, what we’ve learned, and how we’re utilizing the data to improve our own training. We firmly believe that tracking HRV and gaining recovery insights into your own physiology is the next frontier in training and we’re excited to be putting the data to use!
