We’re back from a recovery week and gearing up for a tough training block. Fueling the workouts will be crucial to success. In this episode we share our whys and hows to fuel your workouts for optimal training and recovery.

Intensity relates directly to fuel metabolism. As endurance athletes we strive for increasing power at aerobic, fat-burning, intensities in order to spare glycogen. As intensity goes up so must the carbohydrate consumption to also spare glycogen. Is glycogen storage and consumption the key to success? Lastly, learn out straggles to fuel your training pre, mid and post workout to improve performance.

We finishes the episode with a look into how prescribe our 32:00 power intervals and the progressions we follow in order hit the power targets while minimizing the physiological stress in the pre-season. Let’s get ready to tackle our toughest training block within our v4.0 Base Builder plan !
