You’ve selected your training plan, created your ATP, optimized your loads and now you’re likely full-on into 2022 base training! With several weeks of training in your legs, it’s a good time to review your data to make sure you’re on track. What good is a plan if you don’t check and see if you’re following it as intended?!
As we’ve been reviewing our WE Development riders’ data and checking their progress against their plans, we figured it might be helpful to share with our listeners how we perform the review process to make sure our athletes are on track with their training. We share how we use the Training Peaks Calendar, ATP and Ramp Rates to review progress, as well as physiological data (from WHOOP) for insights into the adaptation process.
Lastly, we discuss how we do Vo2 Max training in our upcoming 8:00-16:00 Power training block. We share when to do more work intervals or reduce the recovery interval to maximize your Vo2 progression within our base building plans.
